About Mrs. Shelly Donner
Mrs. Shelly Donner has been teaching at Snowy Range Academy since it opened in 2002. She has taught in kindergarten and second grade here in Wyoming and in Colorado. Shelly graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor degree in civil engineering, which is where she got her love of spreadsheets and schedules. After working for an engineering firm she went back to school at University of Colorado at Denver to get her masters in education. If you have time to stop in kindergarten, Mrs. Donner would love to have you visit or volunteer.

Mr. Lowrey is enjoying his second year at Snowy Range Academy and loves teaching first grade. He also coaches the high school hockey team and enjoys playing hockey. With his free time Mr. Lowrey enjoys walking his dog, working on his house, and exploring Laramie.

Stefani Yarger was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2016 and is excited to be able to stay in Laramie, a city she has grown to love. The 2017-2018 school year will be Stefani's first year of teaching. She's thrilled to be spending her days doing what she loves and helping children unveil their limitless potential.

About Ms. Jessica Stoner
Jessica Stoner was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. She has an associate degree in elementary education from Laramie County Community College. She just graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's in elementary education. The 2022–2023 school year will be her first year of teaching. She is excited to start her official journey of doing what she loves, sharing knowledge, as well as making a difference, with all learners at the elementary level. She is looking forward to having a great year! With her free time, Jessica enjoys drawing and painting, reading, being outside, and hanging out with family and friends.

About Ms. Bobbi Huston
Bobbi Huston graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2011 with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education. She worked in the Albany County School District #1 as a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher prior to teaching pre-kindergarten for two years at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic School. Upon the closing of St. Laurence, Ms. Huston joined the Snowy Range Academy staff as a paraprofessional. In 2017 she accepted a 2nd grade teaching position at Snowy Range and is looking forward to a great school year! In her spare time Bobbi enjoys attending UW events and spending time with her children.

About Mrs. Carla Bayne
Mrs. Carla Bayne graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and mathematics, and she graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2009 with a Master's of Science in natural sciences. She worked in the Cherry Creek School District #1 as a classroom teacher for several years before moving to the wonderful state of Wyoming. She then worked for the Laramie County School District #1 as a classroom teacher. Mrs. Bayne has worked as a paraprofessional in the Albany County School District #1 for the past several years. In 2022, she accepted a third grade teaching position at Snowy Range and is looking forward to a fantastic school year! Mrs. Bayne loves to run races and usually participates in one to two half marathons per year. In her spare time, Mrs. Bayne enjoys attending UW events, camping, skiing, gardening, and spending time with her family.

About Mr. Samuel Adamson
Mr. Adamson grew up on a ranch outside of Laramie and attended elementary school, junior high, and high school in town. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2014 with his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. After spending three years as a substitute teacher in Albany County School District, Mr. Adamson journeyed to Northern Colorado where he got his first teaching job. He taught kindergarten in the small farming community of Galeton, Colorado. Mr. Adamson is beyond excited to be returning to his hometown and teaching at Snowy Range Academy! Some of Mr. Adamson's interests include reading, taking walks, watching reality television, and spending time with his family and cats.

About Mr. Andrew Johnson
Mr. Andrew Johnson grew up in Laramie. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with his BA in elementary education. After graduating, Mr. Johnson moved to Arizona where he taught second grade, third grade, and was a math instructional coach. The 2022–2023 school year marks his seventh year teaching, and he is very excited to begin teaching at Snowy Range Academy. In his free time, Mr. Johnson enjoys reading, cooking, golfing, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

About Mrs. Sheila Monteith
Mrs. Sheila Monteith grew up in northeastern South Dakota and eastern Montana. She graduated from Dakota State University with a degree in elementary education. She and her husband moved to Idaho where she was a special education teacher at Shoshone Bannock Jr./Sr. High School and then at State Hospital South in Blackfoot, Idaho. She went back to school at Idaho State University and she received her certification in special education. Mrs. Montieth taught for five years in Idaho before moving to Laramie. She was a special education teacher for three years at Linford before spending eight years staying at home with her children. She is excited to be back in the classroom teaching 4th grade. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children as well as being in the outdoors.

About Ms. Samantha Cripps
Samantha Cripps has been a teacher at Snowy Range Academy since 2009. A Wyoming native, she attended college at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota where she received degrees in business education and math education. She currently teaches technology, Algebra I, and geometry. In her free time, she enjoys going to the mountains, quilting, and reading.

About Mr. Samuel Johnson
I am from Star Valley, Wyoming, where I was born and raised from a family full of teachers. Both of my parents and four of my siblings are teachers. I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Secondary Education Social Studies. I enjoy spending time with my wife and family by doing activities such as rock climbing, listening to music, and eating my wife’s delicious food. I am thrilled to be a part of SRA.

About Mr. Eric Wright
Mr. Eric Wright returns to teaching middle school language arts this fall at Snowy Range Academy. Last year, he taught fifth grade language arts and social studies after working for more than two years as a firefighter and EMT with the Laramie Fire Department. Prior to that, Mr. Wright taught middle school language arts at SRA for nearly ten years. Mr. Wright holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Wyoming and worked for more than a decade as a journalist and freelance writer, including holding news writer and features writer positions as the Casper Star-Tribune and Wyoming Tribune Eagle. Mr. Wright is a veteran of the US Army, serving in the 25th Infantry Division from 1985 to 1989. He was born in Michigan but grew up in Worland, Wyoming. Mr. Wright enjoys spending time in the mountains with his son, Isaiah, now an eighth grader. His hobbies include skiing, mountain biking, paddle boarding, bird hunting, reading, and writing. He looks forward to continuing to teach and work at SRA for many more years.

Señora Arnold has been working as Snowy Range Academy’s elementary Spanish teacher since they opened their doors in the fall of 2002. She also teaches 3rd through 5th-grade character education. She received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish at the University of Wyoming, a K-6 M.Ed from Western New Mexico University, and a K-12 M.Ed from Montana State University. Señora Arnold specializes in making the second language learning a success.

About Mr. Reynold Candelaria
Reynold Candelaria is a life-long Wyomingite who grew up in Laramie, Wyoming before attending the University of Wyoming. Mr. Candelaria graduated in 2004 with a BS through the UW kinesiology physical education teacher education program. “Mr. C” has been working at Snowy Range Academy since 2005. In his free time, Mr. C spends time with his wife, Megan, and two year-old son Maxx, as well as the family’s two dogs and a crazy cat affectionately nicknamed ‘the Monster.’ Mr. C loves sports (both watching and playing), reading, and spending time outdoors.

About Ms. Amy Cowell
Amy Cowell has taught general music, choir, and orchestra at Snowy Range Academy since 2006. Amy received her bachelor of music education degree from the University of Wyoming in 2005. She earned her master of music education degree from the University of Wyoming in 2015. Amy is an active member of the Wyoming Music Educator's Association as well as the American String Teacher's Association. She is also a cellist and performs regularly with the Wyoming and Cheyenne Symphony Orchestras. She also enjoys spending time with her family participating in numerous Wyoming outdoor activities.

About Ms. Anne Hedderman
Ms. Hedderman teaches middle school Spanish and ESL (English as a second language) at Snowy Range Academy (SRA). She developed a passion for Spanish and Spanish speaking cultures while living in Patagonia, Chile teaching English and conducting tours for English speaking visitors. After returning to the United States, Ms. Hedderman completed the Spanish MA program, the ESL endorsement program, and post baccalaureate certification program in modern language and social studies education at UW. When she is not teaching Spanish and ESL at SRA, Ms. Hedderman loves to explore new places and spend time outside with family and friends.

Trish Jacobsen graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BA in Elementary Education in 1998 and earned a Library Media endorsement through Montana State University in 2019. Prior to joining SRA's teaching staff in 2010, Ms. Jacobsen taught in Idaho Falls, ID and Encampment, WY. She is a Wyoming native and enjoys spending time with children, books, and the outdoors.

Haley Stebbins grew up in Northern Colorado spending much of her time at her families solar-powered home in the mountains. After moving to Wyoming, Haley graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2016 with a BA in k-12 art education and minors in Spanish and art history. In 2018, Haley accepted her first teaching position at Snowy Range Academy as the art teacher. When not teaching, Haley enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and soon to come second child! About Mrs. Lisa Martin
Lisa grew up right here in Laramie. After graduating from LHS, she attended Northern Arizona University where she earned her BS in Elementary Education, with a minor in music. Lisa went on to teach second grade in Texas and general music and choir in both Colorado and Nevada. After the birth of her son, Lisa was able to stay home and devote her time to her family. Now, several years later, she is back in Laramie and back to the work she loves. When not at work, Lisa spends time with her husband, LeRoy; her son, Nathan; and her puppy, Trevor. She loves to be a part of anything musical or funny and doesn't shy away from adventures!

About Mrs. Amy Vogel
I was born and raised in Laramie! I earned a bachelor's of science in dental hygiene from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and I practiced clinical and public health dental hygiene for about 15 years. I stepped away from that career to focus on raising my son. After nearly ten years of being a full-time mom, I am excited to support teachers and students at SRA as a paraprofessional. I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, paddle boarding, and baking.
