SRA Administration & Support Staff

Mr. Cowper has been involved in education for 26 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in speech/language pathology and audiology with a minor in psychology from the University of Wyoming. Mr. Cowper continued his schooling by pursuing a Masters of Education degree in communication disorders. After serving for many years in education, he obtained his educational leadership certification from the University of Wyoming.

In Wyoming, Mr. Cowper worked with Uinta County School District for two years, Goshen County Unified School District for six years, and previously with Albany County School District for 15 years. For the last three years Mr. Cowper worked for an educational service agency supporting academic programs throughout the state of Alaska. While working in Alaska, Mr. Cowper facilitated the Alaska Transition Outcome Project and simultaneously served as the special education director for two school districts.

Mr. Cowper firmly believes that all students deserve a quality education provided in a safe, nurturing environment. He understands parents are an integral part of their child’s education, and they should be involved and participate in their child’s educational life. He appreciates students originate from various backgrounds and will learn in different ways and at differing rates. This means that every student, regardless of standing, deserves an academic experience that facilitates future success in a variety of disciplines. To this end, Mr. Cowper will strive to effectively incorporate every resource available for students in the SRA community while seeking to uphold the standard of excellence the community has come to know.
