Volunteering at Snowy Range Academy
Parents are active participants in the educative process supporting students' academic progress and moral values, volunteering on committees, assisting teachers in the classroom, and serving on the Board of Directors. SRA volunteers help make the school the stand out that it is... we need your help to continue achieving excellence.
All volunteer opportunites for each month are posted on the calendar in the front lobby. You will find volunteer information and projects listed in the monthly newsletter. The following list is provided to help you determine where you might be interested in helping at SRA!
Current Volunteer Needs:
Tutors - Our Academic Support Team needs help after school hours tutoring students.
Lunchroom Help (11:15-12:30) - Volunteers help teachers hand out milk to students, assist our younger students as needed, and cleanup tables between groups.
Library (Schedule with Librarian) - Volunteers in the library may be asked to cover books with protective material, apply labels, sort magazines, and help to monitor students while classes are in the library.
Grant Writing Committee - We are looking for volunteers (experienced or not) to research and write grant proposals.
Classroom (Scheduled with Teachers) - There are many ways to help teachers in the classroom. Teachers appreciate volunteer guest speakers, reading to the class, assistance with special projects and activities, bulletin board preparation, copying and laminating projects.
Public Relations - We need volunteers to help develop our Public Relations outreach to the community.
Laminating Projects (Scedule with Volunteer Coordinators) - Volunteers assist teachers with laminating projects. Volunteer time is scheduled at your convenience.
