Character Education

Core Knowledge encompasses more than just its curriculum. SRA's core virtues - Respect, Responsibility, Cooperation, Self Control, Perseverance, Integrity, and Citizenship - define our school culture and are expected behavior for SRA students. Character is developed through a coherent program of expectations, modeling, and study of historical and literary figures. Our smaller student body means faculty and staff know SRA students by name and help ensure student accountability.

During the month of may we will be celebrating all of what we have learned about virtue and the ways we have grown in character. We will compile virtue books of many of the character lessons we learned during instruction each week. Each child will be given his or her own “Book of Virtue” at the end of the year.
